As you all know, I live for sports. I’m not a fan of the greatest teams but they usually do pretty well and no matter how much I complain at my TV about them, I’m still a fan.
This month, however, has just not been fun. It’s felt like awhile since I’ve actually really enjoyed watching sports because of my teams losing and teams I dislike winning. Tonight I discovered the following results.
Since January 1, 2012…
So yeah, in terms of sports, it hasn’t been that happy of a new year. But things change, team’s get hot, so I’ll wait it out, as always, and keep watching, cheering and, most likely, complaining.
Carlos Beltran may be the most unappreciated player in New York Mets history while he might also be one of the greatest position players to ever wear the uniform. Mets fans, instead of remembering him for the strikeout in Game 7 of 2006, remember him for the 41 HR that year or the homerun robbing catches he’s made or moments like the one in the video above when he tied the score in the last game of the 2008 season with the Wild Card on the line. I wish him the best of luck in San Francisco for the rest of this season and I would just like to say thank you to Carlos Beltran for a great 7 years.

Today I am clean shaven for the last time in what will feel like an eternity. For reasons I don’t know, I’ve decided to join my friends in No Shave November. This may be one of the more stupid decisions I make seeing as how my hair grows faster than a viking warrior. By the end of November I will honestly have grown Brian Wilson’s beard. Well… here goes nothing.
