Because of the insomnia I had the night before and the fact that I woke up yesterday at 1pm, I decided the easiest way to fix my sleeping schedule was not to sleep at all last night. I’ve oddly never pulled an all-nighter or even tried to before so I wasn’t sure if I would be able to make it through the night.
It was about 3am when me and my roommate, who also decided to try and stay up (i don’t know why), decided to turn off the lights and lie in our beds and just watch TV.

While trying to find something that wouldn’t put me to sleep, I realized that TV at 3:30am wasn’t the best lineup. Eventually I had to settle on a late night “Roseanne” marathon. You know it’s bad when that’s the best thing on TV. Hoping it would be somewhat entertaining so I didn’t dose off, I got stuck in a three-part ridiculously sad episode with zero jokes. But I stayed awake. The marathon lasted until 6:00am and then it was time to change the channel.
The sun started to rise outside of the blinds and I made it. I muted the TV and put on WPLR through my computer. My roommate fell asleep and I started to drift off. At about 8am I finally ended up passing out, not purposely, until around noon.
I got up, wrote a paper, went to class, came back and wrote this post. So I’m pretty much running on 4 hours of sleep in the last 2 days. And that’s my story.
